The Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology (DUK), formerly the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K), is a premier autonomous institution established by the Government of Kerala in 2000. To position Kerala as a leader in the emerging knowledge economy, the Government of Kerala upgraded IIITM-K to DUK through Ordinance No. 9 of 2020, dated 18 January 2020, and the university now operates from at the Technocity campus. DUK offers postgraduate (MSc, MPhil, PhD) and PG Diploma programs, specialising in AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, IoT, Blockchain, Geospatial Analytics, Data Science, and Digital Humanities. Over the last two decades, it has significantly contributed to IT research and e-Governance through collaborations with MeitY, DST, ICMR, ICAR, NITI Aayog, MoES, Melinda Gates Foundation, IBM, Intel, and others. The university hosts research centers in Machine Learning, Data Security, and Blockchain, including the Kerala Blockchain Academy. It also established Maker Village, India's largest electronic hardware incubator, in partnership with MeitY and Kerala Startup Mission. DUK continues to drive capacity building, state-of-the-art labs, professional training, consultancy, and e-Governance projects to support government and societal development.
