On 28-01-2025, the Faculty Training Program on Adapting to AI: Innovations & Strategies for Responsible Content Management was successfully conducted at Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovations & Technology in association with Mozilla RCC. The program was attended by around 45 faculty members from 8 institutions, aiming to enhance their understanding of AI-driven content management and responsible AI adaptation in academia.
The session commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Asharaf S., PI Mozilla RCC, Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovations & Technology, who underscored the importance of AI integration in academic workflows while ensuring ethical and responsible practices. The inaugural function was presided over by Dr. Ciza Thomas, Vice Chancellor, Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovations & Technology, who emphasized the need for responsible AI adoption in academia and the role of educators in shaping ethical AI practices. Dr. A. Mujeeb, Registrar, Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovations & Technology, delivered a felicitation address, highlighting the university's commitment to fostering AI literacy and ethical computing practices.The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anoop V. S., leaving participants with valuable insights into AI adoption strategies and the importance of fostering responsible computing practices in education.
The training session was delivered by Mr. Sunil Prabhakar, Media Consultant, Mathrubhumi Online, focusing on the evolution of AI in content management and the ethical considerations in leveraging AI tools for academic purposes. The talk covered essential AI ethics principles, such as transparency, fairness, accountability, and inclusivity, encouraging faculty members to critically assess the societal impact of AI-based solutions. The hands-on training segment provided 7 hours of practical exposure to AI-driven content management tools. Faculty members actively participated in real-time exercises, gaining insights into AI-powered solutions tailored for academic environments.
